What's happening at the Old Lodge Hotel?
28th June 2008, Whisky tasting event.
Taste a selection of malt Whiskies and enjoy a light hearted talk about them with our own Whisky expert, Mr. John Lidster.
This is becoming a popular event! The great thing about it is that you can try Whiskies that you would probably never risk buying, either because they are unusual or just way too pricey!
The theme of this tasting is 'A tour around the British Isles, (and a little further). Does age, and cost really matter?'
Nibbles along the lines of sandwiches and proper chips will be served. Price £25.
31st August 2008, Jazz on the Lawn with an authentic African gymnastic show!
2 til 6pm, come and relax in the beautiful surroundings of the Old Lodge and enjoy live Jazz music.
The super local group 'Finesse', will entertain you with songs from the Great American Storybook, and Ella Fitzgerald.
The last event like this was a great sucess, and a wonderful time was had by all who came! We are sure that this will be another super day!
Strawberries and Cream, Clotted Cream Scones, Hot dogs, Hot Roast Beef sandwiches and Jugs of Ice cold Pimm's will be available for those of you who dont want to bring a picnic. Or, depending on our wonderful British weather it could be hot soup and umberellas! But either way it will be a super afternoon!
